Carpet Cleaning	R 100 per room carpet (Up to 5 X 5m / 25 sq.m) - Bedrooms, Studies, Lounges, Dining Rooms etc.
	R 50 per smaller carpeted area (Up to 2.5 X 2.5m / 6.25 sq. m) such as passages, entrance halls, receptions etc.
	R 75 per loose carpet, rug, persian rug, dhurries etc. (Up to 4 X 4m / 16 sq. m)

CarpetSpa does not charge travel, callout, inspection or quotation fees! In the event that the total invoice amount is less than R 150, we charge a minimum service fee of R 150 which is waived if the total invoice amount exceeds R 150.

A quotation can be provided if specialised cleaning is required (i.e. not listed above). In cases of severe staining, a surcharge may be applied, but this will be discussed with you, and will only be carried out with your consent.

The average time taken to clean a room is about 20 mins, depending on the size, type of carpet, the soiling and staining (if any), and the number of furniture items that will have to be moved. Lounge suites take a little longer – up to 1 1/2 hours depending on size, soiling and whether the cushions are loose or fixed. Mattresses take about 30 mins each to clean. Drying time for most items ranges between 2 to 4 hours (depending on air circulation in room). Where possible clients are requested to move any loose items off the floor area of rooms to assist us in having free access to the entire carpeted area.

Our cleaning systems are the best of breed, high-powered mist washing units with powerful extraction. Carpets and upholstery are vacuumed with an industrial high-strength vacuum prior to washing to remove and excess dirt and residue. Our machines are regularly serviced and replaced every 24 months to ensure that we use only the latest and best.

Our cleaning system is proven, safe and effective, and is safe for use on most carpets and fabrics (*unless otherwise indicated).

The human body sheds 30 – 40 000 spent skin cells every hour, which works out to about 1 000 000 skin cells per 24 hour period. Many of these end up on carpets, mattresses and upholstery in the home, where they become the diet of micro-organisms such as dust mites. These micro-organisms ingest the cells, and the waste product they deliver gives rise to hay-fever, allergies and sinusitis in many people. Pets will contribute to this, especially dogs and cats.

Cleaning of carpets, mattresses and upholstery is recommended to be done twice a year at six month intervals. Late September / Early October (following the first spring rains) and April / May are the best months for cleaning if this simple programme is followed. We will send you a courtesy email or SMS reminder six months from your last clean.

In some cases, depending on the level of soiling, the type of material and/or the condition of the underfelt, stains and marks may reappear within 3 months. This can occur in cases of heavy soiling, where the underfelt / backing of the carpet has been penetrated. We offer a follow-up clean of the same areas at a discount of 30% (within 3 months of the initial cleaning – same areas / items). Some soiling cannot be removed by cleaning, depending on the substance, and the amount of time it’s been there! Our cleaning system effectively removes most soiling, pet odours, lice, fleas, bed bugs and mould, leaving your home fresh, clean and sanitised.

The chemical used to remove spots is highly concentrated, and may cause bleaching in some cases. We always perform a colour-fastness test prior to proceeding with spot removal, and will advise you accordingly.
